The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it's alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The assistance place established for intervention activities a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for sassa that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and enhance entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
